Nursery-kindergarten No.2 constructed in Shamakhy city and a nursery-kindergarten basically repaired in Meysari village of the district by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation were inaugurated on May 25.

Organization of children’s education and protection of their health have always been a focus of attention in the social and economic policy pursued by the state. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has made significant contribution to projects implemented in this sphere. The activities of the Foundation in reconstruction of preschool education institutions in the country, and construction of new modern child establishments are of exclusive importance. The programme called “Development of preschool education institutions” once more testifies that education of children is one of the basic directions of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s activities. The activities of the Foundation, led by Azerbaijan’s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, associated with education widely covers reconstruction of preschool education institutions and securing serious quality changes in this sphere, which led to very significant outcome in this field. Kindergarten No.2, which was constructed following the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative, considering the needs of Shamakhy district, once more shows that such projects implemented by the Foundation are of successive nature.
While becoming familiar with Nursery-kindergarten No.2 in Shamakhy, the President and the First Lady were informed that all necessary conditions were ensured in this establishment for the education of 110 children to make sure that they are brought up as healthy citizens of the country. Modern standards were followed while forming groups. Vast possibilities are there for children’s rest and entertainment. All rooms in the education institution have been provided with necessary equipment. Children’s intellectual, physical and mental development from early ages, revealing their talents and abilities, protection of their health, and building personal contact with people will be kept in the focus of attention here.
By and large, following the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative, one residential building with 16 apartments was constructed for young IDP families, secondary school buildings designed for a total of 1212 pupils in Melikchobanly, Birinji Chayly, Gushchu, Avakhyl, Dadagunesh and Meysari villages, nursery-kindergartens for a total of 290 children in Shamakhy city, Shahriyar settlement and Gushchu village, medical stations in Hamyali, Birinji Chayly, Gushchu, Marzandiyyeh, Avakhyl, Melham and Meysari villages, secondary schools for 320 pupils in Galeybughurd and Sagiyan villages, the Shamakhy Technical Humanitarian and Natural Subjects Lyceum designed for 210 students and the Cultural Centre of the district were basically repaired.
One of the education establishments of which inauguration took place is a nursery-kindergarten in Meysari village of Shamakhy. After a new building designed for 132 pupils was constructed at the entry to Meysari village following the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative to replace the old building of the secondary school in the village designed for 120 pupils due to its becoming useless for operation, the old school building was basically repaired by the Foundation, according to a design adapting it to a nursery-kindergarten. Started in 2019, the repair works on the nursery-kindergarten were completed in April 2020.
Designed for forty children, the nursery-kindergarten accommodates sleeping and play rooms, music and sports halls, and other necessary rooms. Reconstruction and greenery planting works were performed at the kindergarten’s courtyard, and child entertainment facilities and state-of-the-art illumination systems were built. Commissioning of such kindergartens and other social, cultural and education facilities are among the steps made in the country towards gradually removing the difference between a city and a village in the country. Such projects demonstrate that the scale and geography of the social projects being implemented in Azerbaijan are widened further.
